ill title The Practitioner

Wendy’s first career was in IT consultancy having graduated from Imperial College with a Masters in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.

Wendy became interested in nutrition after the birth of her first daughter. Age 6 months her daughter developed eczema and age 1 year she was diagnosed with glue ear. After some research she put her daughter on a dairy free diet. Her daughter’s eczema and glue ear cleared up.

After the birth of her second daughter both Wendy and her daughter developed health problems. Wendy developed breastfeeding thrush and her daughter developed oral thrush and experienced growth problems. They were both diagnosed with candida and adopted an anti-candida diet.

After seeing the benefits to her own and family's health Wendy started studying nutritional therapy. She has a diploma in Nutritional Therapy from the Institute of Optimum Nutrition in Richmond, founded by Patrick Holford. Click here to visit the ION website.

Wendy is a British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy (BANT) registered Nutritional Therapist. She is committed to working by their strict codes of ethics and practice. Click here to visit the BANT website.

Wendy is a Nutritional Therapy Council Registered Practitioner. The Nutritional Therapy Council (NTC) is the regulatory body for nutritional therapists. Click here to visit the NTC.

Wendy has been seeing clients since 2006. Client issues have been wide ranging and have included conditions such as IBS, thrush, alcoholism, arthritis, weight loss, headaches, stress, hypoglycaemia and heavy metal detoxification.

She regularly attends specialist conferences and post-graduate lectures designed to update and expand her knowledge in the field of nutrition. She is currently studying applied kinesiology and applying this to nutritional therapy, allowing her to carry out on-the-spot food allergy testing and to test nutritional supplements on clients to find the ones that their body prefers.
